Dr Deni Irwanto
Geriatrician
Dr Irwanto is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician in Sydney, with extensive experience in geriatric medicine, including cognitive and falls assessments. He works part-time at Bankstown Hospital and practices privately in Bankstown, Moorebank, Campsie, Yagoona, and Chester Hill.
He is actively involved in research and teaching, with special interests in cognitive assessment, memory impairment, and general medicine for older adults. Dr Irwanto does not conduct capacity assessments or legal matters.
Dr Irwanto is a Consultant physician and geriatrician based in Sydney, Australia. Dr Irwanto graduated graduated from the University of New South Wales medical school in 2005 and have worked in several large Sydney tertiary hospitals as well as in Singapore hospitals for many years, prior to being awarded his FRACP as a consultant physician and geriatrician in 2014. I have many years of experience in all aspects of geriatric medicine including acute geriatric medicine, cognitive assessment, falls assessment, ortho-geriatrics, community geriatric medicine, geriatric rehabilitation and general adult internal medicine.
I am also actively involved in research and have published research in the geriatric medicine field, mainly in the community geriatric medicine. My recent article with my colleagues has been published at Internal Medicine Journal by the Royal Australasian College of Physician.
Currently, I am working as a part-time staff specialist in geriatric medicine at Bankstown Hospital.
Together with my colleague, I have developed successful acute geriatric services for nursing home patients for the Bankstown area, which incorporated hospital-like treatment in nursing homes. This program has been successful in reducing nursing home patients’ presentation to Bankstown Hospital.
I have been very active in the private practice in the Bankstown area for the last 4 years and have been doing rooms and outside visits to nursing homes around Bankstown and the surrounding areas. I am also expanding to Moorebank as it is part of the same Local Area Health Service.
Language Competencies: Indonesian
I also consult for patients at Campsie, Yagoona and soon in Chester Hill rooms.
Teaching and Education are also my strong interests. Dr Irwanto has been involved with teaching medical students for many years and is also currently supervising for geriatric advanced trainees at the Bankstown Hospital. Dr Irwanto attends regular conferences to ensure his knowledge is always up to date. I am currently also acting as one of the supervisors for our geriatric advanced trainees at Bankstown Hospital.
Special Interests: Cognitive assessment, Memory Impairment, BPSD management, community geriatric medicine, falls, general medicine for older people.

Dr Arif Alam
Geriatrician
Dr Arif Alam is a specialist Geriatrician and General Physician. His special interest, in addition to geriatric medicine, include peri-operative medicine and diabetes and worked both in public and private hospitals.

Dr Arvind Patil
Geriatrician
Dr Patil has experience in evaluation and management of complex medical issues in the elderly including Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment. His interests include cognitive assessment, managing behavioural and mental health issues in the elderly, dealing with geriatric syndromes, perioperative assessment and medication review.

Dr Marie OOi
Gastroenterologist Hepatologist Endoscopy
Dr Marie Ooi is an Australian based gastroenterologist and hepatologist.
Dr Marie Ooi is recognized by the Australian Conjoint Committee (CCRTGE) for gastroscopy, colonoscopy, single balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and capsule endoscopy.
Dr Ooi takes pride in providing her patients with individualised comprehensive care.

Dr Mena Salib
Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Mena Salib is an Interventional Cardiologist with special interest in Coronary Artery Disease and Coronary Angioplasty. Mena can help patients with a range of services which include ECG & Holter monitoring, echocardiography, stress ECG & stress echocardiography, CT-coronary angiography, cardiac MRI and sestambini scanning. Consultations are available in both English and Arabic to accommodate the diverse needs of patients. His strength lies in his exceptional communication and listening skills, enabling him to build strong relationships with patients and medical professionals alike. His precise problem-solving abilities and attention to detail ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment strategies. For any pre or post-referral queries, he is happy to provide guidance and support.

Moustafa Raad
Masters of Podiatric Medicine | Bachelor of Health Science
Moustafa, a passionate podiatrist with a Master’s from the University of Western Sydney, has experience in paediatrics, sports podiatry, geriatrics, and diabetic foot care. He specialises in lower limb biomechanics, flat feet, knee pain, paediatric gait issues, custom orthotics, and work-related injuries, and is a registered NDIS service provider.

Moustafa is a very passionate podiatrist who enjoys working with people of all ages. Moustafa has a Bachelors in Health Sciences and Masters in Podiatric Medicine which he completed at the University of Western Sydney.
Since graduating he has worked in many different aspects of podiatry including; paediatrics, sports podiatry, geriatrics and the diabetic foot. Moustafa has competed at many high levels of sports and has taken his experience on the field to help treat and prevent injuries in athletes, children and adults.
Moustafa regularly attends workshops and seminars to expand his knowledge and treatment options to provide the best outcome and results for his patients.
Moustafa’s drive to pursue podiatry is his love for sports and helping people improve their overall well-being and quality of life. Whilst Moustafa is very knowledgeable about the variety of all common issues relating to the lower limb, he has a keen interest for lower limb biomechanics, treating flat feet and knee pain, paediatric patients suffering from in-toeing and out-toeing, prescribing custom made orthotics and assisting patients with work-related injuries, allowing them to return to their full potential.

Melissa Tjong
Dietitian
I am a member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia, currently working with the Cancer Council’s ENRICH program in Sydney. My previous experience includes private practice dietetics and consulting for Nutrition Care Services. I specialise in chronic disease management, weight management, diabetes, and gastrointestinal issues, using a nurturing approach to boost patients’ confidence in healthier eating.
I am recognized as a member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia. I am currently working as a dietitian for the Cancer Council’s ENRICH program across Sydney. In the past, I was working as a private practice dietitian and hold a keen interest in clinical nutrition, especially in the area of chronic disease management such as obesity and diabetes. I have also worked as a consultant dietitian for Nutrition Care Services conducting home visits for DVA patients in Western Sydney. I have a passion for wholistic health and motivational learning, enabling patients to increase their confidence in making healthier food choices. I take on a nurturing and positive approach to the patients’ needs. I provide individual meal plans, and evidence-based strategies to address underlying metabolic issues and health concerns while fitting into their lifestyle and family needs.

Emily is a psychologist with over 15 years of experience in hospital, school, and private practice settings. She works with anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment issues, and interpersonal and relationship difficulties. She provides psychological treatment to a range of clientele from diverse backgrounds, including adolescents and clients in late adulthood. She uses a range of therapies, and also specialises in cognitive-behaviorual therapies (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and mindfulness.

Nisrin Kheir
Clinical Psychologist
Is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years’ of training and experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults. As a clinical psychologist, Nisin’s skills and knowledge lie in the assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of mental health conditions. She has a special interest in childhood and adolescent psychology including childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment, behavioural and developmental problems.
Nisrin has worked in schools, community, and mental health services as well as private psychology practices.
She has ran therapeutic groups and parenting programs and is committed to enhancing relationships by utilising strengths-based and resilience models. Nisrin’s therapeutic style is warm, empathic, compassionate, and engaging. Her techniques are evidence-based and adapted to suit the individual needs of the client. The theoretical background of her work is embedded in attachment theory and neuroscience models of child and adult development.

Wesley Henrisson

Physiotherapy
Wesley holds a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) from Western Sydney University.
Wesley uses a wide variety of hands-on techniques ranging from Trigger Point Therapy, Dry Needling, Active Releases and Joint Mobilisations to name a few. Through these methods and corrective exercise, he aims to address biomechanical faults that are the root cause of your ailments.
Wesley has a keen interest in headache/migraine management, having completed Dean Watson Headache course level 1. He has a passion for sport’s performance and injury prevention. Wesley previously was team Physiotherapist for the South West Sydney Magpies AFL club, allowing him to work closely with athletes and enabling him to gain invaluable experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries, most notably of the knee, shoulder, ankle, neck and low back.
Wesley prides himself on getting to know his patients and their lives to provide a personable and holistic service.

Jacob is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with extensive industry experience working with a range of clients in both the private and hospital sectors. As an Exercise Physiologist, Jacob is equipped with the knowledge and expertise required to implement the latest evidence based corrective exercise strategies for the treatment and management of chronic and co-morbid medical conditions as well as musculoskeletal injuries and pain syndromes.
Jacob is passionate about empowering his clients and the local community to take control of their health by educating them on not only the benefits of exercise-based interventions but also how to get the most out of an active lifestyle. We want to ensure that our patients are fully informed about any fees associated with their healthcare. Please note that our pathology services are provided by an external company and are separate from Moorebank Family Medical Practice.
Our Nurses may assist in pathology collection services outside of service hours however any questions regarding pathology fees or billings should be directed to the pathology accounts department. If you have any concerns or need further clarification, the pathology team will be happy to assist you directly with these matters.
